The strangest wildlife encounters happen when you least expect them, so I consider myself lucky that I had my camera on hand for this one! I was walking along the shore of Greenbelt Lake with my husband, looking for a good view of a hunting osprey, when we noticed something approaching us in the water. We stepped back into the trees to not interfere as these beavers fought their way to shore, chattering and pushing each other under the surface.
